Changes in KPMG senior management
KPMG has announced Duncan McLennan as the firm’s new National Audit Managing Partner, and Rob Bazzani to the role of Victorian Chairman, effective immediately.
McLennan and Bazzani have been promoted to fill the dual roles vacated by Peter Nash’s elevation to the role of National Chairman, KPMG in Australia. This follows on from the appointment of Michael Andrew to the role of Global Chair, KPMG International.
Based in Sydney, Duncan McLennan will oversee the strategic direction and operations of the firm's Audit business, which audits 32 of the top 100 ASX businesses. McLennan has been a partner of KPMG since 1999 and has experience in leading audits of large publicly listed clients across many industries, as well as experience in consumer and industrial markets. Mr McLennan has also held the role of Partner in Charge, Sydney Corporate Audit, since 2006.
Rob Bazzani joined KPMG in 1999 with a background in corporate finance and investment banking, and has been a partner since 2002. In 2006, he was appointed Partner in Charge, National Mergers & Acquisitions. While Mr Bazzani will continue his involvement with clients in managing M&A transactions, Trevor Allen will transition as Partner in Charge, National Mergers & Acquisitions.
Peter Nash commences as National Chairman today, and Michael Andrew will assume the role of global chairman based in Hong Kong on 1 October.
