The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Teresa Dyson as the Chair of the Board of Taxation.

 

Mrs Dyson will replace outgoing Chair, Chris Jordan, who has been recently appointed as Commissioner of Taxation.

 

A board member since 2011, Mrs Dyson has extensive experience in a wide range of taxation matters, including dealing with major corporate clients, financial institutions, governments and public authorities.

 

Mrs Dyson has been acknowledged as a leading individual in tax by Chambers Global 2012 and Best Lawyers 2012 and was named 2011 Woman Lawyer of the Year from Women Lawyers' Association of Queensland.

 

Mrs Dyson will assume the part-time role for a two-year period, starting in January next year.
