ANZ has announced the appointment of Manfred Liechti as the company’s new Managing Director Global Private Banking.

Reporting directly to Joyce Phillips, CEO Global Wealth, Mr Liechti has extensive experience in both private and wealth banking.

"His experience will assist us to bring a truly global perspective to the way we support our private banking clients and we are pleased that Fred will be joining the ANZ Wealth team," Ms Phillips said.

Mr Liechti has extensive experience in financial markets, having worked in various senior positions in Switzerland, London, Sydney and Singapore.

Mr Liechti’s appointment begins immediately.
