Reshuffle in banks' executive deck
Musical chairs continue at two of Australia’s big lenders, with word that ANZ and the Commonwealth Bank are scouting for new blood on their executive teams.
Adding to recent high-profile departures at UBS and Macquarie, ANZ has moved to breathe new life into the sector with a number of fresh recruits.
Newcomers include the appointment of Stephanie Chenoworth to the head role in the Women’s Segment for Global Wealth. She will be joined by Manfred Liechti, who made his name with UBS in Singapore. Arjan de Boer has signed on to ANZ too, working under Liechti as head of north Asia Private Banking.
The ANZ bank says it is still looking to fill the seat of the head of South East Asia Private Banking.
Meanwhile at the Commonwealth Bank there is word of an impending executive reshuffle. Some reports say head of strategy and M&A Rob Jesudason will hop the pond to take over the bank’s ASB board in New Zealand. Mr Jesudason has already served as a board member with ASB.
